Commons Conference

  • Printed booklet and mobile app format
  • Project timeframe: February-March 2023
  • This conference booklet and accompanying app are themed around a hypothetical “Commons Conference” about civic planning to create better cities, where the common spaces thrive.

Concept:
Medium

  • How does a medium shape the message that it contains? While the print version contains some editorial content that allows for deeper dives into the information, the digital version allows for filtering and personalization, as well as a social media feature. These changes in design enhance each medium to convey information about the conference as efficiently as possible.

  • Early spreads of the booklet introduce the theme of the conference and create immediate connections with events that may interest readers.
